Housing

Like many places across the country, Connecticut is experiencing a crisis in housing - specifcially lack of housing inventory and skyrocketing costs.  As Chair of the Banking Committee, I've been a leader at the Capitol on issues of Housing, specifically with regard to housing finance and affordability.  I've passed or proposed many pieces of legislation to help homebuyers and create more opportunity for homeownership.  I believe in making the financial investments in the programs that work now in the places that can accommodate them, and working to expand the reach and impact of these programs.  Read my recent Op-Ed here: https://www.ctinsider.com/opinion/article/ct-housing-crisis-investment-19730899.php
